Some recent conversations with our little diva.
1) Setting: Belen has just finished eating her lunch and made HUGE mess.
Mom: "Belen, please wait to take off your bib until your face and hands are clean"
Belen: While continuing to pull on her bib to get it off, "NO! I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT!!!"
2) Setting: Mom has just told Belen she can't have something she really wants.
Belen: While obviously very angry, yells; "BYE! BYE!" Then storms out of the room.
*Note- This has happened MANY times in the last couple days...if there is a door to the room Belen will also do her very best to slam the door behind her.
3) Setting: Anywhere and everywhere...usually in a highly public place like the grocery store or a restaurant.
Belen will yell, "OWWW!! That HURTS!!" whenever we try to get her to do (or not do) something.
Most recent example setting: Grocery store. Belen has been a bit cranky but we are on our way out of the store and Belen is helping Daddy push the cart out of the store when she suddenly stops because she sees something she wants to go check out. The store is VERY busy with loads of people around us and behind us trying to get by.
Belen: "Dook! Dook!" She points at a kids book display and starts to head in that direction.
Mommy: "No, Belen we have got to go" as I put my hand on her opposite shoulder to guide her in the appropriate direction.
Belen: "OWWW! That HURTS!" in the most whiny little voice you can imagine...just loud enough that everyone around us turns to look...
There are more that escape me at the moment but I will continue to compile them in this post as they appear in the next several days.

i think i know what your surprise is but I dont want to tell you incase I am wrong... but anyways... Belen is growing up so beautifully! I love seeing the pictures... though I do wish there were more pictures of the parents of belen :) things are going well for us, i just got the internet so we will be updating our blog soon!!! we miss you guys so much!!!

Cute! It's so funny to me how different Eliot and Belen are sometimes--Eliot's not really a diva, but he definitely is still a handful sometimes.

OH man what a crack up...and I just watched the video from the last post....SOOOO cute! Is she singing about elmo?? That is going to be a kick for her to watch when she's older!

Yeah, I wasn't a scrapbooker either, until Sue talked me into it. I do it mostly online now though, because it's so much cheaper.
