I didn't cook anything for Thanksgiving.
We ate at a big buffet at Zak's work.
I had a veggie burger.
The rest of the fam ate a traditional turkey dinner.
I ate pie, yumm.
After video-chatting with grandparents
I made cookies.
Belen and Camden helped.
While scooping cookie dough onto the cookie sheets Belen tells me this..
"Mommy, I just know the things I make up."
She continues "Mommy, I know things because I'm smart."
"I'm smarter than you because you're nothing,
you're just a mommy."
Said without a hint of malice.
"Belen," I reply after a loooooong silence and a loud laugh from Zak,
"One day you will understand what you just said"
"...and you won't like it either."
