Camden was the cutest little monster.
Belen a princess. Belle to be exact.
At our church Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff
I won spiciest chili.
I had to make a separate batch just so I could eat some.
I don't eat meat so I make it a point to take my own food to church events to share.
Here is the recipe I made. It really is the best chili I have ever had. Try it. You will like it.
Belen made a friend.
Quickly and easily as she used to before we moved here.
It lifted my spirit.
At one moment another little girl tried to take this new friend away from Belen.
Belen got very sad.
Her new friend saw how sad Belen was.
She included Belen.
She made Belen happy.
She made me very happy.
I made it a point to tell Belen's new friends mommy how thoughtful her daughter was.
I hope that made her very happy.
It gave me hope for this place after all.

Trick-or-Treating is a big thing here.
We'd never actually taken the kids trick-or-treating before.
We did this year.
Belen wanted to run from house to house,
Collecting candy.
Camden wanted to sit on the curb,
Eating candy.
I loved just being there to watch them.
I loved that Zak could come.
I am so glad that we are together.
