Christmas 2011. Part One

When we lived in Georgia we didn't get to spend much time together as a family.
Zak lived and worked away from us during the week
and would come home for short visits some evenings and weekends.

Christmas was the only time we really got to spend together and we decided to go to Orlando.
We'd hoped to spend at least one day at the Disney World resort
but guys it's extraordinarily expensive
and hello, Zak has only been out of school for a year and a half!
Fire truck at a pit stop at a Florida grocery store.

The firemen where nice enough to let the kids climb on for a picture.

Camden and Buzz Lightyear at Downtown Disney.

One of Belen's favorite cartoons.

I think the nose-picking just fits.

What one earth does this thing DO?

Pretending to be an elephant at the Rainforest Cafe.
Sounds of scary animals, lightning and THUNDER propelled Belen right out of her seat and into my lap.

Mr. Longface.

Walking back to the hotel from Downtown Disney.

We did explore Downtown Disney.
We took the shuttle from our hotel to the ferry and rode the ferry to the front gates of Disney World
then rode the tram around the resort before returning to our hotel.
We would have very much like to take the kids inside the resort.
While we did have fun together that day,
it was disappointing to not be able to go inside.
