Though the doctor has neglected to call us with Zak's lab results yesterday, today we have begun to see some minor improvements. The red streak on Zak's hand is now gone and the swelling seems to be going down just a bit. He also reports feeling a bit better overall. He has 7 days left of the 24 hour I.V. drip (the heparin lock should be removed a week from tomorrow) unless the doctor says something different at his appointment tomorrow.
