In the short time that we've been in California, Belen has crossed some major developmental milestones that we'd like to share with our family and friends.
First, Belen has learned the importance of good oral hygiene. Her first two-word sentence (that I can make out anyway) is "bruss teef." If ever mommy or daddy leaves the bathroom door open Belen is often found standing on the toilet brushing her teeth in the dark.
She was fine, immediately after this picture was taken Belen popped right up
and ran straight to her toys. Not a tear was shed.
Thirdly, because the temperatures in this oddly humid California desert regularly peak over 100 degrees (actual current temp. is 105 degrees) and energy costs (i.e. the electric it takes to run our dinosaur of an air conditioner) are astronomical.
Belen had to find her own way to keep cool.
